These works were created while under the intense pressure of completing her PhD research, a period when Julie was escaping domestic violence and navigating her own experience of homelessness. Rather than simply exploring these themes, the art and poetry serve as a raw expression of that time—a journey through a dark place that her faith ultimately carried her through.
